ASUS, a global leader in the new digital era, proudly introduces its expanded Transformer Pad range at Mobile World Congress. The ASUS Transformer Pad Prime takes to the stage with the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity and ASUS Transformer Pad 300 Series.
Having first launched the ASUS Transformer Pad TF101 in 2011, ASUS’ new Transformer Pad range provides a different take on the tablet realm — an innovative 2-in-1 approach to deliver both a tablet and netbook in one product by way of a keyboard dock. ASUS’ “Design Thinking” approach starts with people, so the Transformer range is not only a media consumption platform, but a productivity tool as well. ASUS designed the Transformer Pads as an answer to consumers’ lifestyle needs in this new cloud computing era – providing them with choices and endless possibilities.
Built for the mobile techie, the Transformer Pad Prime features an ultra-slim metallic spun finish and weighs in at just 586g. It is the world’s first quad-core tablet that runs on AndroidTM 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS).
The soon-to-be-released Transformer Pad Infinity Series are the world’s first Full HD, 4G LTE/3G/Wi-Fi tablets. With a 1920 x 1200 Full HD Super IPS+ display rated at 600 nits paired together with ASUS SonicMaster technology and an incredible metallic spun finish, it is aimed at audio-visual enthusiasts looking for the ultimate in stylish mobile entertainment. The Wi-Fi and 3G version will also be available.
Also in the pipeline is the Transformer Pad 300 Series. The 4G LTE model is the world’s first quad-core, 4G LTE tablet. The 300 Series is available in blue, white, and red, it is targeted at the young and trendy, tech-savvy set who are looking for more individuality, value, and performance in their tablet.
ASUS Transformer Pad Prime
Designed for early adopters, the Transformer Pad Prime is the world’s first NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 quad-core tablet and is also the first to run on the Android™ 4.0 ICS operating system. It features an ultra-slim profile of just 8.3mm, weighs in at just 586g and sports a metallic spun concentric circle finish. The Transformer Pad Prime also boasts a Super IPS+ screen rated at 600 nits for a better outdoor reading experience.
On its own, the Transformer Pad Prime has a battery life of up to 12 hours*, but when combined with the mobile dock, it lasts up to an incredible 18 hours* as the dock recharges the tablet.
It also features the ASUS-exclusive SonicMaster technology, which is renowned for crisp and acoustically accurate audio. It produces crystal clear sound with a wide sound range, increased sound fidelity, and distinct vocal enhancements not found on any other tablet in the market.
A 1.2MP front camera allows for video conferencing while an 8MP rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash takes clear and sharp photos thanks to a large F2.4 aperture, back illuminated CMOS sensor, touch-to-focus depth of field and low light noise reduction.
ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity Series
The Transformer Pad Infinity Series are the world’s first Full HD, 4G LTE/3G/Wi-Fi tablets are With a 600 nits, 1920 x 1200 Full HD Super IPS+ display and ASUS SonicMaster technology, and it is poised to be the go-to tablet for HD mobile entertainment.
The 4G LTE model comes armed with the powerful Qualcomm MSM 8960 Snapdragon S4 dual-core 1.5Ghz processor and is capable of download and upload speeds of up to 100Mbps and 50Mbps respectively.
Specifically designed for HD video enthusiasts, it boasts a 1920 x 1200 Full HD Super IPS+ 178° wide view display rated at 600 nits and ASUS SonicMaster sound technology to give users cinematic audio-visuals in a mobile package. Additionally, next generation Corning® Gorilla® Glass 2 helps protect the screen with improved damage resistance and toughness for a worry-free, on the go device.
The Transformer Pad Infinity has a 2MP front camera for video conferencing along with an 8MP rear camera with a large F2.2 aperture, 5-element lens and LED flash to ensure quality images even in the dark.
And like the Transformer Pad Prime, it carries over the Zen design philosophy — coming in at an ultra-slim 8.5mm and sporting a metallic spun concentric circle finish.
ASUS Transformer Pad 300 Series
The 4G LTE model is the world’s first quad-core 4G LTE/ 3G / Wi-Fi tablet, and features the NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 quad-core processor. Together with supreme audio courtesy of ASUS SonicMaster technology, it makes for an ideal mobile web surfing and gaming platform.
It features a 1.2MP front camera for video conferencing. An 8MP rear camera with a large F2.2 aperture, 5-element lens allows for high quality images along with 1080p HD video recording.
The Transformer Pad 300 Series comes with a battery life of 10 hours*, and that is extended to 15 hours* once it is paired with the mobile keyboard dock.
