Bally might be marking 160 years of excellence in leather craftsmanship and modern design this year but the Swiss luxury house is not resting on its laurels. Instead, Bally has been quietly expanding its global presence with new travel retail partnerships and stores in the US and Istanbul.
Bally’s travel retail partnerships with the dynamic Nuance Group and Dufry are proving extremely advantageous as the latest increase in Bally’s travel retail sites brings total operations to ninety eight. Recent openings include stores at airports in China, Taiwan, Amsterdam and Zurich along with Bally’s entrance into the lucrative Russian travel retail market and a strengthening of its South American profile as a new store at Brazil’s Sao Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport will open early 2012.

In addition to its on-going success in travel retail, Bally has also opened brand new stores in the US capital Washington D.C. and captivating Istanbul.
The store at Washington D.C.’s stylish Tysons Galleria opened in late September with an exclusive cocktail event that showcased Bally’s beautiful 160th Anniversary Collection alongside the Autumn/Winter 2011/12 Collections.
Hosted in conjunction with Esquire magazine, the event was attended by Bally’s distinguished guest, Swiss Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Mr. Manuel Sager and his wife, Mrs. Christine Sager. The evening was also a chance for invited VIPs to support FAIR Fund, a Washington-based charity chosen by Mrs. Sager that works to prevent human trafficking of youth worldwide.
Bally then partnered with Vogue Turkiye to celebrate the opening of its store in Istanbul’s hip Nisantasi district on October 13, 2011. Invited VIP guests including Vogue’s Editor in Chief Seda Domaniç enjoyed the ambience of Bally’s elegant new store whose ground floor is dedicated entirely to the luxurious accessory collections.
Bally Istanbul again highlights the brand’s principle of creating appealing spaces that evoke a sense of luxurious ease by applying a natural palette contrasted against light and dark surfaces. White fossil stone floors and 100% pure wool grey carpet are offset by white walls; white sofas complete the mood, encouraging customers to linger while contemplating their surroundings and the beautiful array of leather goods.
