Bang & Olufsen – Art of Craftsmanship

Bang & Olufsen products have been handcrafted in Struer Denmark since 1925 with design and engineering as the key concepts of quality and sound experience.

Besides entertainment products for the home environment, Bang & Olufsen today applies its acoustic skills and design competences in creating high-performance sound systems for example for the high-end car industry.

Still engineering is the point of departure for any Bang & Olufsen product, and the new BeoLab 14 has undergone more than 2000 hours of sound engineering and 500 hours of designing.

The chassis of the speaker is made from aluminum which has been exposed to 170 ton of pressure to form a seamless ring of pure strength – that is the symbol of this new sound system. With an anodizing dip-line the strength and visual of the speaker is completed.

The speakers are also exposed to what is actually ten years of smoking in ten days, to test the resistance and strength of the design, along with a drop-test and a stress test exposing the system to varying temperatures, all the way down to -100 Celsius in just a few seconds.

As you can see, Bang & Olufsen take both the design, quality and lastability of their products very seriously which is why the BeoLab 14 is a definite must own item for all!
