Bang & Olufsen – The Magic Design

The passion for design and creation is the very pinnacle of Bang & Olufsen; to wrap technology and great experiences in beautiful designs. We’ve seen amazing Bang & Olufsen product designs integrated into cars such as Aston Martin and Audi A8 – and with the new BeoLab 14 system, Bang & Olufsen is redefining the home surround sound system experience.

Krestan Krab Johansen, Concept Developer for Bang & Olufsen says about the BeoLab 14 surround sound system:

“The inspiration was that it should be easy to fit into the home but at the same time should give a surprisingly big sound experience. That’s how we came up with the idea of having the small compact satellites combined with the tower of power, which is the sub woofer, which would then impress for a sound perspective.”

Compactness is one of the keys to meet the consumer needs of tomorrow – we need more sound in smaller sizes – and that is exactly what Bang & Olufsen have done with the BeoLab 14. The delicate speakers can be placed into any size room and with the subwoofer – or the ‘Tower of Power’ as it is referred to be its designers – which hold six independent amplifiers, the system is complete.

This new Bang & Olufsen BL14 will enrich any home. The handcrafted and uniquely shaped speakers will light up any room, and the design allows you to choose from a variety of colors to fit your home décor. Pick your color and place the speakers anywhere you want; on the walls, on the ceiling, standing on their floor. There is a wide range of brackets and stands that allows you to position the system almost anywhere.

With more than 500 hours of designing and shaping the new system, Bang & Olufsen strives to bring us something that has not been seen before and something that is better than anything you can find in the market today.

Tomorrow we will be looking at Bang & Olufsen Art of Crafting, showcasing the art that goes into the design of any Bang & Olufsen product.
