This promo trailer features an extended look at the band of 13 dwarves who accompany the film’s leading character Bilbo Baggins on his epic adventure.

You have a little time to wait before you can catch this long-awaited film on the big screen as it is scheduled for release on December 14 this year (2012).

Back in July of this year (2012), Peter Jackson announced that ‘The Hobbit’ would become a trilogy to truly milk the whole Lord Of The Rings phenomenon.

Jackson broke the news on his Facebok page, saying that he had so much material that he couldn’t help but want to “tell more of the tale.” He wrote:

“It is only at the end of a shoot that you finally get the chance to sit down and have a look at the film you have made… We were really pleased with the way the story was coming together, in particular, the strength of the characters and the cast who have brought them to life. All of which gave rise to a simple question: do we take this chance to tell more of the tale? And the answer from our perspective as the filmmakers, and as fans, was an unreserved ‘yes.’
