Ghostpoet, aka Obaro Ejimiwe’s, second album ‘Some Say I So I Say Light’ has been nominated for two awards at this year’s AIM Awards. Receiving nods in both the Independent Album of the Year and Best ‘Difficult’ Second Album categories, it cements his reputation as a unique, and acclaimed artist. Ghostpoet says of his nominations “I’m mightily humbled and honoured to be nominated in two categories at this year’s awards, win or lose it will be something I will never forget, cue ear to ear grinning.”
The AIM Independent Music Awards recognises the best that independent music has to offer, the people who are doing things their own way and who inspire others with their passion and creativity.
Ghostpoet releases ‘Cold Win’ – the second single from his new album ‘Some Say I So I Say Light’ on August 26th 2013 through Play It Again Sam. The ‘Cold Win’ remix package that includes Roska, Special Request, Lorca and The Busy Twist reworks will also be available August 26th 2013.
The video for ‘Cold Win’, which was partly shot in Iceland, brings a nomadic feel to the song, utilizing images of wide open roads and endless landscapes. Directed by Cyrille de Vignemont, Ghostpoet is featured as a character unwilling to hit the road and to leave his life behind. Watch the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmktlXz7BPs
