Groundbreaking wireless speaker company Libratone has been named an International CES Innovations 2014 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for the Loop, their latest wireless speaker. The Loop, a versatile speaker that delivers FullRoom™* sound, was named an honoree in the high performance audio/video category. Industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade media judged cutting-edge consumer electronics products across 29 product categories.
Loop is a wireless speaker that pushes the boundaries of home audio by delivering 360 degree stereo sound with the convenience of wireless Airplay** and DLNA*** streaming. It also delivers the performance and convenience of AirPlay without the need for a Wi-Fi router and complicated network setup using Libratone’s patented PlayDirect™ technology. The built-in Digital Signal Processing and Digital Amplification, along with high-end ribbon-based tweeters, provide a crystal-clear room filling sound experience. Thanks to the circular design of the speaker and the built-in FullRoom™ technology, the Libratone Loop disperses sound waves in multiple directions and reflects sound throughout its surroundings. A free app for iOS and DLNA-Ready devices provides the option to enhance and customize any users audio experience.
Slim and elegant, Loop replaces traditional, clunky “black box” speakers, making it incredibly easy to incorporate into modern décor. Featuring a unique duo-stand support, Loop can be easily mounted to a wall or placed on a table or shelf. Dressed in Libratone’s characteristic Italian wool, the speaker is available in Pepper Black, Salty Grey or Raspberry Red. Additional covers, sold separately, are designed to complement any room. Cover colors include Pineapple Yellow, Passion Pink, Plum Purple, Petrol Blue or Icy Blue.
“The nomination of the Loop marks the third year in a row that a wireless speaker in the Libratone family has been recognized by the Consumer Electronics Association for outstanding design and engineering. Past honorees include the portable Zipp and the Live speaker,” said Gregg Stein, CEO of Libratone North America. “We are thrilled that the Loop has been named an honoree in this year’s Innovation Awards and look forward to showcasing it at CES.”
The Innovations Design and Engineering Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, the producer of the International CES. The Loop will be on display at Libratone’s booth, #6275 in the North Hall, for CES 2014, which runs January 7-10, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Honorees will also be displayed at CES Unveiled: The Official Media Event from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, January 5 in South Seas Ballroom C at Mandalay Bay.
