SOULFLY | Band reveals official lyric video for ‘Bloodshed’

Metal icons SOULFLY, led by legendary frontman and guitarist Max Cavalera, have released an official lyric video for the song ‘Bloodshed’, the first single taken from the band’s upcoming album ‘Savages’. Check out the lyric video created by talented Tommy Antonini, guitarist for Italian post hardcore band TASTERS, at this location:

‘Bloodshed’ features Cavalera’s son Igor (LODY KONG) on guest vocals and had already been played on the band’s most recent European run. Commenting on the track BLOODSHED, Max Cavalera said: “The song is about the absurdity of the human condition in territories plagued by bloodshed all over the world. Not just recent events like Iraq, but also historical conflicts such as the U.S. Civil War, World Wars I and II, etc.”

‘Savages’ is set for release on September 30, 2013 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment.

The artwork was created by renowned artist Paul Stottler, who is best known for SACRED REICH’s legendary ‘Surf Nicaragua’ cover.

Produced, engineered and mixed by renowned sound guru Terry Date (PANTERA, DEFTONES, WHITE ZOMBIE), ‘Savages’ will be released as a limited edition digpack CD, 2LP vinyl and digital download.

Guest vocal appearances on ‘Savages’ include bass player Tony Campos, Max Cavalera’s son Igor Cavalera (LODY KONG), CLUTCH’s Neil Fallon, NAPALM DEATH’s Mitch Harris and Jamie Hanks of I DECLARE WAR fame.
