Switzerland bans nude hiking

Switzerland has banned nude hiking.

The highest court in the country has ruled local authorities are now permitted to fine anyone caught hiking in the Alps without any clothes on, which is a popular hobby in the European nation.

The court said in a statement: “It is not overly high-handed to qualify naked hiking as a breach of decency customs.”

What’s more, the decision comes after one man was fined 100 Swiss francs ($109) for walking naked past a family with small children at a picnic area and a Christian rehabilitation centre for drug users in Appenzell.
