Providing fans with never heard before tracks and a complete music exclusive, The Joy Formidable have revealed they will also be performing acoustically at each gig in support of themselves. Coined as the ‘campfire session’ the band will entertain guests with a sneak preview of material that is currently being recorded for their eagerly awaited Sophomore album offering fans an experience like no other.
The Joy Formidable front woman Ritzy Bryan said “There’ll be two parts to the set and we’ll be playing some never-before-heard tracks. It bodes to be a very special occasion, a TJF one-off and an intimate approach to our material” The ‘campfire session’ will include a full acoustic set comprised of new, unheard material and rarely played tracks complete with a “campfire area, Matt on Cajon and of course a firepit”. A brief interlude will then be followed by the bands full live set.
Clarks Originals will also be adding an extra dash of local ‘flavour’ to each gig with a DJ set by a local musical authority to warm up the crowds.
Manchester based promoter, fanzine and record label High Voltage will be sending award winning music mogul Rich Cheetham along to DJ. Bristol fans will be treated to a set from DJ Dan of Propaganda fame, the UK’s biggest Indie club night with over 20 nationwide clubs at the last count, and London fans will get a once in a lifetime chance to see JJ Dunning and Harriet Gibsone, editor and assistant editor of the biggest circulating music monthly The Fly magazine take a turn on the decks.
For fans that are still keen to get hold of their FREE tickets to one of the three tour dates, they simply need to log onto www.clarksoriginals.com until February 3rd where they will be able to enter a ballot to win tickets for them and a friend to be part of an intimate audience at each show. To keep the intrigue levels as high as possible, the gig locations won’t be revealed until 48 hours before each event, however each guerilla gig will be hosted in original venues set in the deepest darkest parts of these three cities promising to delight those that are lucky enough to enter.
