On the 24th November 2011 Lyle and Scott were joined at The Deaf Institute in Manchester by Alex Clare, Hooray For Earth and band competition winners Rugosa Nevada.
Then on the 29th the party headed to London’s XOYO where Alex Clare and Hooray For Earth were joined by band competition winners Paper Shapes.
After the initial London launch which will featured Chad Valley and Disclosure, ‘Curated by Lyle & Scott’will take Alex Clare, Hooray for Earth plus a third act, which will be decided through a fan-influenced competition on the road.
Headlining Edinburgh, Manchester and the second London date will be Island Records’ signing Alex Clare, whose debut album produced by Switch and Diplo is due out later this year. Supporting Clare will be New York rock outfit Hooray for Earth.
Spector will bring their particular blend of English power pop to Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club. This will be a great opportunity to see frontman Fred Macpherson and his cohorts at this distinctive and intimate venue before they release their debut album in 2012.
Theme Park – an equally praised London four piece – have been causing a stir since their debut single was released in August this year. Having recently supported Bombay Bicycle Club and Summer Camp, they will also be playing at David Lynch’s Le Silencio nightclub in Paris before they hit London for this special Curated by Lyle and Scott show.
